Welcome to the Bastrop Senior Center located downtown in the most historic town in Texas. Bastrop, founded in 1832, takes pride in its role in Texas history with 130 structures designated as national historic sites. Bastrop is the ideal place for senior adults seeking to live in a small town atmosphere that also features a friendly, vibrant, active, adult community.

Bastrop Senior Center offers a place for senior citizens 50 and over to join other mature adults in a variety of fun, recreational, healthful and educational activities. Our members are an active group who take part in regularly scheduled or special events such as:

  • Quilting
  • Line dancing
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Live music nights
  • Exercise classes
  • Luncheons
  • Holiday parties
  • Day trip excursions to area attractions and events
  • Group travel to America's fun, scenic and historical destinations
  • Classes to help you learn new skills or lifestyle enrichment
  • Health screening

How to Join

To join the Bastrop Senior Center, you must:

  1. Be at least 50 years young.
  2. Pay $25 annual dues.
  3. Fill out an application form.
  4. Sign a release form.
  5. Be ready to have fun.
